One of the first testimonials we received was most definitely one of the most exciting, as a matter of fact, I felt I just had to post it here on the blog, so everyone could see for themselves the power of the Sybian.
Our first testimonial comes from 31 year old Angelea right here in Jonesboro. Angelea is a not married but she is in a long term relationship, and her boyfriend was the one who arranged for her to try out the Sybian (lucky her).
I am going to type her testimonial just like she wrote it in her own words, I only intend to change the minor spelling typo's, it seems the Sybian may have interrupted her ability to spell, after all this was written literally minutes after her experience.

The Best 2000 dollars you could have spent! Orgasm (sic) after orgasm (sic)! And my goodness the intensity of each orgasm. Blows you Completely Away! I absolutely loved using it and I strongly recommend every woman give it a try! It is an (sic) awsome experience they will want to repeat over & over!
Thank you so much!
Angela
As you can see when she wrote the review, she was slightly confused about the price of the machine, but obviously she felt it was worth $2K, just think how happy she will be when she finds out it is only $1315.00.
Right now the Sybian is booked up for the next couple of weeks for these Beta testers, and we are having to scramble to get some more attachments ordered from Abco Research. Other than that, I belive Cheryl might be starting to miss having the machine around, I believe she started taking the Sybian for granted after she had it here for almost a full month before it started going rented out. Generally the machine has only been here at the house for about 8 hours at a time recently just long enough to get it cleaned up and checked out before it is sent back out the door.
I am working on getting Cheryl to write up a blog entry describing her experiences on the Sybian, but she just claims that she is not much of a writer. Well that is all a matter of opinion, mostly her's. But hopefully she will have some reading material for you very soon.
Until later

Dan asked me to write a blog about any subject I wanted, his mistake. I decided I would write on one of the subjects I am most passionate about, the Oak Ridge Boys. I’m sure some of you have heard of these guys, but just in case some of you haven’t, here’s who they are. They’re the guys who made “Elvira” a household name way back in the 80’s and I'm not talking about the "vampiress" on TV.
I was a fan of theirs even before "Elvira" came out. I remember when I was a little kid seeing the guys on some variety or music awards show singing a gospel song. This was during the time when Gospel music was the only thing they sang. I remember how great they all sounded and I just sat there in front of the tv in awe of them and their amazing harmony. It wasn’t until a couple of years later when I bought my very first Oak Ridge Boys’ vinyl album, yes I am that old. I don’t know what made me buy it but it must have been something about that album cover that caught my eye. The year was 1978 and “Room Service”
had just come out. It had a really nice cover on the front of it with all 4 guys hanging out in what looked like a hotel room. I bought that baby and took it back home and played it on my stereo. I was in love with everything about that album and how great it sounded on my stereo. I think I nearly wore it out from listening to it so much. I couldn’t stop playing it and of course I couldn’t stop looking at the front cover. Thanks to that cover I developed my first “celebrity crush” on 3 of the 4 guys. Duane Allen, William Lee Golden (Bill at that time), and Richard Sterban were the ones who caught my eyes. I never caught the “crush bug” from looking at Joe Bonsall. Must have been that crazy hair. LOL!! I was totally hooked. I bought all the albums that followed “Room Service.” I was quite the fan. I never got to see them when they were “HOT” but that didn’t stop me from being a fan. Then in the mid 80’s William Lee Golden left the group, and I pretty much lost interest in the Oaks and country music. I got into the 80’s pop music and all the “hair bands.” I was a teenage girl hanging out with my friends who all had different music tastes. From the mid 80’s to 1990, I attended quite a few concerts, most of them being rock. I did attend some country shows, but never had any interest in seeing the Oak Ridge Boys.
Sometime in 1989/ early 1990 while working at a factory, I heard this up and coming singer named Garth Brooks singing a song called “Friends in Low Places.” I thought it was a cool song and once again I was getting hooked into listening to country music. I was still listening to the “hair bands” but I was also getting into the “new country” sound. About this time I met Dan and found out he was a big country fan. I started listening to some of his old cassettes of different country music artists that I had also listened to while growing up as a kid. Hooking up with Dan was my way back to appreciating country music. I was listening to more and more Garth….I became a huge fan, and I was also listening to more of the classic country artists as well.
Fast forward to 1995, Dan and I are watching TNN (The Nashville Network) and see the Oaks performing and hosting a show called “Live From Las Vegas.’
It was a music/variety type of a show. I couldn’t believe that these guys were still around. I figured the only rocking they did anymore was in rocking-chairs. Right about this time, William Lee had come back and everything was back the way it should be. The more I watched their show, the more I started listening to their music again . I bought any cassette that I could find of theirs and I would start re-living some great memories. I happened to find a copy of “Room Service” on cassette and I was in heaven. During this time I still had not seen the Oak Ridge Boys in concert but I was determined that I would see them someday.
After having our computers and being on the internet for about 2 years, One night while Dan was “surfing” he came across the official Oak Ridge Boys’ website. He told me about finding it and I immediately started visiting there and reading all the messages from other ORB fans. I could not believe my eyes when I saw on that message board where Joe Bonsall himself had been posting. It wasn’t until around the end of 2001 and early 2002 that I became a regular member of the message board.
Come back again and I will tell about the very first time I ever met "The Boys" in person. I will try to have that posted in the next couple of days.

One of the most common questions Cheryl and I receive when we tell people about what Electric Sensations is all about is, "How in the world did you come up with that business idea?" We had known about the Sybian for a while before we came up with the idea of the business. I believe we had seen a video or two of the Sybian being used on the internet and we were very impressed with the power of the Sybian and the seeming intensity of the orgasm from the women. During my research on the Sybian my searching of course took me to the Abco Research Associates site where the Sybian is sold by the manufacturer, and that is where we also saw the prices. Almost $1400! At this time I was making about $10 per hour and supporting 4 people. There was no way in the world we could spend almost 4 weeks of wages on a "sex toy" which we did not know for sure if it would even work with Cheryl. And we let it go at that for several years, with the hopes that maybe someday we would find someone that owned one and she could perhaps try it out that way. If it was as good for her as it seemed to be for the other women who rode it, then we could see about buying one, that was our thoughts on the matter anyway.
This was until one day when we went to visit Special Moments in Paragould Arkansas. A very nice retail lingerie and "sex toy shop" here in NE Arkansas. We have been regular patrons of Special Moments ever since we first got together almost 15 years ago. We have nothing but great things to say about Special Moments and Cynthia the very nice
owner. Anyway, on one of our regular visits to Special moments we were
standing there discussing different things with Cynthia while checking out, when our discussion turns to the Sybian. Cynthia acknowledges that she knows about the Sybian and she had even thought about selling them, but felt the price was too much and she would not be able to move them fast enough. Well the conversation somewhat ends on that note, because Cheryl and I both understood what she meant about the price of them, but as we are walking out to the car Cheryl says to me something along the lines of, "she ought to rent them." And at that moment the spark was ignited, and the dry tinder in my head started smoldering. Within 24 hours it was a full blown forest fire in my head. I could not ignore it. I knew there had to be other people out there just like us who knew about the Sybian but were either afraid to pay that much money for one especially not knowing if it would work for sure. But I knew that we would, and other people would be willing to try it if it didn't cost so much.
Then I began to wonder if anyone else had ever come upon a similar idea, so I started googling Sybian rent and we found just a few sites at that time but there was one that was most interesting. Actually it was an independent review of a Sybian rental business in Portland, Oregon, and after reading the article I am about to show you, we knew how we would NOT run our business.
The full text of the original article is posted on the Portland Mercury newspaper's website, and I invite you to read it here. The summary of the story goes something like this; the Portland Mercury had heard of this local business which had a Sybian that they rented to women,
ON THEIR PREMISES. Portland Mercury turned to their ACE REPORTER Marjorie, who will go ANYWHERE and do ANYTHING to get the scoop. Well Marjorie was in for what could only be described as a frightening experience even though she did have a trusted male "chaperone" along with her. But even with her good friend with her, she described the setting as "totally groady circumstances." A single male proprietor named George with just one eye who apparently was exposed to too much Agent Orange in Viet Nam. A riding room which sounds more like a hospital room. Marjorie describes it like this:
"...we were shown into the "riding room"--a teeny boudoir containing the Sybian, an alarm clock on a small table, and literally nothing else. No velvet curtains, stereo,
oils--nothing to create an even remotely sexy atmosphere... unless you count the
scary calisthenics-like chart of different Sybian positions hanging on the wall."
Marjorie then goes on to describe her feelings as she gets ready to ride the Sybian, with her good friend Bobby by her side, and George just outside the door "banging away."
"So there we were, stuck in this tiny, sterile room, guarded by a stranger in an eye patch who was threatening to come in if he didn't hear us "making noise." I had just possibly signed away my uterus, and I was somehow supposed to ride this monstrosity to the point of getting off??!! It seemed an impossible task."
But as impossible as the task might have seemed, the Sybian proved itself ready for the task at hand. Enabling Marjorie to have what she herself described as, " ... a big, full orgasm."
Well after reading this article I was more than ever convinced that the business was feasible it would just have to be done in a way that the woman is going to feel as safe and comfortable as possible while riding the Sybian. The obvious place a woman is going to feel the greatest safety and comfort is in her very own bedroom, where she knows there will not be any prying eyes watching, no hidden cameras, and especially NO TICKING ALARM CLOCKS set to go off when her time is up. A place where she can take all night if that is what she needs to get to where she needs to be. Providing the Sybian for rent in the home was the obvious only choice. And one of the ways of avoiding many of the problems which George and the Sybian Salon created for themselves. I do not mean in any way to imply in anyway that George had anything other than honorable intentions in anything he did, all I am saying is that he did not provide an atmosphere which was in any way conducive to female orgasm. The only thing in that house which was conducive to orgasm was the Sybian. These thoughts were reinforced when I tried to visit the website posted at the bottom of the article sybiansalon.com. Well at that time, just shortly after the article was written, the website was already out of commission, and the domain name Sybiansalon.com currently has a For Sale sign posted on it's front page.
It was around this point in time that we made the decision to go for it with this business and we started working on possible names for the business. In my next post I will talk about how we came up with the name Electric Sensations, and go over some of the names we
looked at but threw away.
Also, in the next couple of days I hope to have Cheryl posting here on the blog. I'm positive she will come up with something really good.

This is the manufacturers website for the Sybian, Abco Research Associates.
In order to help promote Electric Sensations, Dave Lampert has agreed to give Electric Sensations an exclusive interview and talk about exactly what kind of man it takes to create an amazing machine such as the Sybian, and also just what kind of trials and tribulations goes into creating a machine such as the Sybian. We will hopefully have the interview posted within the next week or so. Stay tuned to Electric Sensations to find out when it is published. It should really be good.

Those were the findings of a study conducted by Dr. Sherie Hite in the Hite Report on Female Sexuality, a survey of over 3,000 women. Incidentally enough, this same survey also found that almost all of these women WERE able to achieve orgasm through masturbation. So there was probably nothing physically wrong with them keeping them from orgasm.
Cheryl and I are starting a business on November 7, and we are hoping to revolutionize life for those 70% of women who are not receiving the many physical, mental, and social benefits of orgasm. We are going to start making available for sale and rent, initially in Jonesboro, Arkansas, but ultimately universally, the Sybian. This is considered by many to be the best vibrator ever made for giving women orgasms.
I want to start off here by introducing ourselves, and then move on to telling how a housewife, and a box maker plan to become millionaires by renting vibrators.
My name is Dan Lakey, and the lovely lady I am married to...well I call her boo, baby, or anything else she wants me to call her, but everyone else calls her Cheryl. We have been on average very happily married for 15 years. You know, they say that if you stick your head in the oven and your feet in a bucket of water, on average you will be comfortable. Yes, we have had our ups and our downs, but the ups have always outlasted the downs. We have two lovely children, who for the next few years will in no way be associated with this business, enough said.
Speaking of ups and downs, I have to say that for the past 15 years our sex life has been fantastic. A man could not ask for better. There have been extremely few downs in our sex lives. As a matter of fact, we were trying to remember the other day when we first got together, just how many days in a row we had sex when we first got together. And the most accurate count we could come up with for sure was somewhere well past six months. And I would say that for a man of 42 and a woman of 40, married for 15 years, we have an extremely active and enthusiastic sex life.
Ok, so now you know we have sex alot, what else about us? How did we get the entrepreneurial bug and want to become Sybian sales people? Well believe it or not, I believe it began with our ancestors. Both of our families were small business owners for many years. Cheryl's business roots go all the way back to her grandparents who owned and operated a Lion Oil service station in Dardanelle, Arkansas. Here is a picture of him in his uniform. Her grandmother owned and operated a booming grocery store/delicatessen business which served the local community. It was very close to the Dardanelle High School, and all of the school kids would come to her store at lunch time for sandwiches. Unfortunately Cheryl's granny died just shortly after we met and I never had the opportunity to meet Mrs. Carter, but Cheryl has always assured me that I would have really liked her, and I believe she is probably right!
Well anyway, her grandmother and grandfather both owned stations, and then her Dad operated various service stations, and also owned a grocery store at one time. All of this in the Russellville/Dardanelle, Arkansas area.
Wow, this thing is getting really long really fast. I will go to the edited version, and then fill in the details in upcoming posts.
My family started out as farmers ( a small business owner), then my father was the first to move away from the farm move to California where he supported himself by running various businesses, including his own stamp vending machine route, which was apparently very popular back in the 1940-50's, because apparently he made a good living with it. he worked other jobs such as when he worked at Hughes Aircraft where he met my mom. Together they moved back her to Jonesboro, Arkansas where my father was born and raised. I was born shortly after, and my father bought a small neighborhood grocery store at this same time. This was 1963, and I was born a short time later. My dad continued to operate the grocery store until 1973 when he retired and sold the store to Bruce, of Bruce's Market Fame here in Jonesboro.
Fast forward through school, and two years of college, and working various full time jobs when I join the United States Navy, and become a Nuclear Power Machinist Mate. Yes they let this dumb country boy control a very large very powerful nuclear submarine. Ok so I didn't control it, but I did play a very small part in running it. I was aboard the USS Los Angeles (SSN-688) stationed in Pearl Harbor Hawaii. I was aboard the Los Angeles from 1984-1990.
Got out with an Honorable Discharge at the end of my 2nd enlistment in 1990, and moved to Russellville Arkansas to work at Arkansas Nuclear One in Russellville Arkansas, yes that's right the same Russellville that Cheryl is from. We met in February 1991, and were married a short three months later, but I have never regretted it once, and I don't think Cheryl has either. Especially if this business works like we think it will.
And that brings us to the business. The Sybian Empire Strikes Back!
Well, I am getting very sleepy, and I think I will make you wait until tomorrow to see how we came up with the idea for the business. And tell you how a simple question from Cheryl to Cynthia, the owner of Special Moments in Paragould, Arkansas became the seed that would one day grow into the conglomerate known as Electric Sensations...Ok so it's not a conglomerate yet, but you just stick around and watch us conglomerate.
see you tomorrow
Dan
